Terms of Service

These Terms of Service explain the rules that apply when you access or use Portfoliq, including our website, account areas, subscription features and related services.

Portfoliq is provided by PORTFOLIQ LTD, a company registered in England and Wales with company number 17369387, whose registered office is 71–75 Shelton Street, Covent Garden, London, WC2H 9JQ. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean PORTFOLIQ LTD, and your agreement is with that company.

By creating an account, starting a subscription or using Portfoliq, you agree to these terms. If you use Portfoliq on behalf of a company or organisation, you confirm that you have authority to accept these terms for that organisation.

Portfoliq provides software tools for landlords to manage property records, tenancy information, compliance dates, documents, reminders, tasks, subscriptions and related workflows.

We may improve, change or remove parts of the service over time. We will try to avoid changes that materially reduce core paid functionality without giving reasonable notice.

You must provide accurate account information and keep your login details secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account unless caused by our failure to apply reasonable security measures.

You must tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed without permission or if your account details are no longer accurate.

Paid plans are billed according to the plan, price and billing interval shown when you subscribe or change plan. Payments and billing portal access are processed through Stripe.

Unless stated otherwise at checkout, subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel or manage your subscription through the billing area of your account where available.

Fees are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where we choose to make an exception.

You are responsible for the accuracy, legality and completeness of the information you add to Portfoliq, including property, tenant, compliance and document records.

Portfoliq helps you organise information and reminders, but it does not replace your responsibility to meet legal, regulatory, tax, safety, licensing or tenancy obligations as a landlord.

You must not misuse the service, attempt to bypass security, upload unlawful content, infringe the rights of others, interfere with the platform, or use Portfoliq for any illegal purpose.

Information, reminders, workflows and generated content in Portfoliq are provided to help with organisation and decision-making. They are not legal, tax, financial, insurance or professional property advice.

You should check important decisions with an appropriately qualified professional, especially where a legal deadline, safety obligation, tenancy matter, investment decision or financial commitment is involved.

You keep ownership of the information and documents you add to Portfoliq. You give us permission to host, process, display and transmit that content as needed to provide, secure and improve the service.

You must ensure you have the right to upload and use any tenant, occupier, contractor, property, document or third-party information that you add to Portfoliq.

We aim to keep Portfoliq reliable and available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. Maintenance, updates, security work, third-party failures or events outside our control may affect availability.

We may suspend access where necessary to protect the service, comply with law, investigate misuse, address unpaid fees, or prevent harm to Portfoliq, users or others.

Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, fraudulent misrepresentation, or any rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

Subject to that, and to any statutory rights that apply to you, Portfoliq is not responsible for indirect losses, lost profits, lost revenue, loss of goodwill, loss of anticipated savings, or losses caused by inaccurate or incomplete information that you add to the platform.

For paid accounts, and to the fullest extent permitted by law, our total liability connected with the service will be limited to the fees you paid for Portfoliq in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim, unless a different limit is required by law.

You may stop using Portfoliq or cancel your subscription at any time. Cancellation stops future renewal charges but does not automatically remove all account data immediately.

We may close or suspend accounts that breach these terms, create risk, remain unpaid, or are used in a way that harms the service or others.

We may update these terms from time to time. If a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to notify you before or when the updated terms take effect.

Continuing to use Portfoliq after updated terms take effect means you accept the updated terms.

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. The courts of England and Wales will have jurisdiction unless consumer protection laws give you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
